A Filipino charity song in a UK music site’s Hall of Fame? ‘Tis true!
That makes Mistula the first Filipino band ever to make it to a UK music site’s Hall of Fame! Not bad for this little indie band that refuses to sing in anything BUT their local language.
An eternity of gratitude goes out, as always, to Mistula devotees worldwide, who continue to believe in the band’s messages. This definitely makes all the effort worthwhile, knowing that such a discriminating flock is out there, listening.
Mabuhay kayo!*

Mistula for Manikako!

Mistula’s contribution to Manikako? The band’s upcoming track called “Salamat Sa Iyo, Manikako”. You’ll hear its melody on this animated short film’s soundtrack, scored by musician and composer Mike Villegas.
“Medyas” may also be viewed on the Mistulavisions Youtube channel.
You can contribute to Manikako, too! Your old clothes, extra rolls of yarn, buttons and other accessories can make a world of difference to poor children. Drop your donations at the colorful Manikako boxes located at The Podium in Ortigas, Lourdes School in Pasig, RCBC Plaza in Makati, UP and Ateneo in Quezon City, and My Masterpiece Art School in Libis.
“Salamat Sa Iyo, Manikako” will debut in a big way at the Manikako, Future Ko! A Fund-Raising Doll Fair at the Podium, February 16 to 23, 2003.

Something this big shouldn’t be missed. That’s me on top of Gabie’s latest creation, the jumbo Manikako we nicknamed Man-man.
