Dreaming of a white Christmas.

Christmas in the Philippines is never white. It never snows here. We don’t have snowmen, snowboarding or snowball fights. There is also no need for us to spend our Christmas bonus on the latest winter collection, much to Joey’s regret. Joey insists on wearing her boots and scarves to work as soon as the temperature falls to 20 degrees Celsius (much aided by hardworking air conditioners).

But while it never becomes Winter Wonderland here, Christmas is the merriest time in the Philippines. The Filipinos enjoy it so much it lasts until the Feast of the Three Kings on January 6. Christmas is when families are reunited, old friends are remembered, and pounds are gained eating native treats prepared especially for the occassion. The Christmas spirit so fills the air here, it makes me feel alive.

Um, I’m sorry to burst your bubble, Manx, but … that is NOT a reindeer.

Merry Christ-moose!
The cute knitted scarves are an early Christmas gift from G-man’s mom. Thank you po!

Is Shinji the same person as Himiko? I thought Himiko was from Manila? Aren’t you the drummer of Milk? If you’re from Sapporo, how do you jam with your band?
Man, you are soooooo confusing me. (=_=)
And I love snow! Joey does, too! She was in Sapporo for the Yuki Matsuri last February! (^^)
December 24th, 2004 - 22:17
Me, himiko, is an extension of shinji’s personality. I am the other shinji ^^ and she freakin left me here!!! T__T I’m an MSD btw ^^
Shinji is the one in Manila, and is a procrastinator that’s why I’m the one who’s posting..Shinji is the real drummer of MILK (well, in a sense) ^^ hope that cleared up things a bit
I hate snow..its all I see everytime…
December 24th, 2004 - 23:21
Oh. What kind of MSD are you? And where in Sapporo are you? We have lots of friends in Sapporo!
My Joey loves snow. But since we don’t have it here, she vents her frustrations on Ice Monster.

Christmas in the Philippines is a noisy affair! I dunno if I really liked it while I lived there briefly! I’m used to cold weather, quiet evenings by the fireplace and being forced to go to midnight mass.
Hearing firecrackers all day on Xmas day made me think it was 4th of July!
Manx and Uno dun need those scarves and hats…I DO! Damn ice here had us shivering at 16f degrees this morning! Jhoey can have all the ice she wants if she’s here in Memphis!
December 25th, 2004 - 10:22
ICE MONSTER!!!! ice monster is love! maybe if I had brought dear himiko here s/he will miss the snow too! ^^ hello everyone..
himiko lives beside the mountains…that’s what I remember O_o
December 25th, 2004 - 10:26
I’m a costumized marry MSD…
December 25th, 2004 - 12:18
Uno, Manx, you can have my snow! You are mooore than welcome to it, rest assured! =DDD (Or if you prefer, my evil, evil, outside job that forces me to work in said snow.) *sobs, whines and dies of the flu and frozen toes*
December 25th, 2004 - 16:51
I wish we had snow. I’d jump at any opportunity for an entire new wardrobe ^^; It’s kind of sad that the only place I can wear my Mango coat is in Baguio in Christmastime, where people will mistake it for an ukay-ukay find XD I also once made the mistake of wearing leather pants to class in UP.
Good thing BJD’s don’t sweat. I shall vent all my winter couture frustrations on Ceras.
December 25th, 2004 - 19:19
I look normal in UP ehehe..too normal for an FA student….
December 26th, 2004 - 11:20
Wow, nice scarves =)
December 26th, 2004 - 11:22
Wow, nice scarves =)
December 28th, 2004 - 00:40
JHOANN! You are so NOT a very good ninang to Jhun! I don’t want to have to deal with a spoiled Fil-Am brat! (+__+)
The only snow we have here is the one they put on Halo-Halo!
December 28th, 2004 - 00:46
Poor Leigh! *hugs* That’s probably why Shikai is so frosty!
You are always welcome here whenever you want it warm and sunny! And bring a bucketful of snow for us! (^^)
December 28th, 2004 - 00:48
SHINJI: What’s a “customized marry MSD”? (0_o) There are lots of MSD owners here that Himiko can be friends with.
And which mountains? Moiwa-yama?
December 28th, 2004 - 00:50
YAPI. I know you feel that way. I guess you wear boots more often that I do. (^^)
Is Ceras here yet?
December 28th, 2004 - 00:54
LUGOSI: We saved a scarf for you! (^_-)
December 28th, 2004 - 02:32

lovely scarves and hat..and I also love Uno’s
long white polo shirt and Manx’s white tshirt..!!
Are they going door to door to do some caroling?….hee-heee
December 28th, 2004 - 02:39
No, Mia, they went to the Simbang Gabi and had some yummy puto bumbong on the way home! (^_-)
December 28th, 2004 - 03:22
No Ceras yet -____-;;; Doogi said that he will either be shipped by the end of last week (which obviously did not happen) or within this week. Good thing I postponed my Baguio trip. I was kind of sad that Ceras wasn’t coming with me, I want him to shop for stuff too. And I have to take him to Ibay to purchase some jewelry!
December 28th, 2004 - 04:38
*waits anxiously with Yapi*
It’s probably better that he be shipped after the Christmas season. Then there are less chances of him getting lost in the rush of Christmas shipments.
Custom-made Ibay jewelry? Coolness! (^^)

May invite your knit-clad duo to a merry and pfluemli-drenched après-ski? (Pfluemli – Swiss German for “little plum” – is excellent plum schnaps made in Switzerland, Bavaria and Austria)
Uno and Manx sure have a moose connection this X-mas!!! XDDD
December 28th, 2004 - 15:38
GAH, UTE! Stop tempting us with all those snazzy-sounding drinks and send them here! You’ll get San Miguel Beer in return! (^_-)
December 29th, 2004 - 19:58
