And I quote Mistula’s drummer and bandleader, Lugosi, who has become quite irked at seeing the same comment appear too many times. There is no J-rock band in Lugosi’s list of influences (it starts with Metallica and ends with Mutiny). He points an accusing finger at me for putting Dir en Grey on my profile on our band site, but I like Dir en Grey, and I cannot help being me.

I think observations always depend on the observer. Upon seeing these pictures, Derrick, former drummer of the heavy metal band Dahong Palay, said I look like Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx. Fabo, vocalist of the now-defunct punk band Hairpin, thought of the Sex Pistol Sid Vicious. And Joey, who once played synths for the goth band Delirium, had J. O’Barr’s Eric Draven in mind.

I hope someday, when someone sees a rockstar too pretty to be real, he’d say, hey, that looks like Uno!
