To quit or not to quit?

Joey misses her video games. She has a whole stack of brand new Playstation 2 DVDs, many still sealed in plastic. Not long ago, she thought her life was stored in memory cards, and recalled important events by levels and final bosses. (“Yeah, I remember, because that was when I finally wasted the goddamn Omega Weapon.”) When she accidentally wiped out an entire memory card, she realized that must be how it felt like to have amnesia.

Joey’s mother thought I saved her daughter from otaku-ness. But now, after seeing her sleeping less, spending more and getting even weirder, she is starting to think otherwise. Joey has turned off the Playstation to play a more complex game. It was never quite Game Over.

These pictures remind Joey of the cover of Soul Calibur 2, a game she has mastered enough to win her a trophy at a local tournament. She would love to play it again, but she needs to get us dressed up and ready to meet a BJD friend tomorrow. Right now, there just isn’t time for games.

SOUL CALIBUR 2! I spent a week of hand numbing hell playing that game as soon as I got it!
Wow, even when Jhoey gets sick, her creative brain is still working! Love the pics!

Uno, would you please tell Joey that these pictures are very cool?
February 20th, 2005 - 02:24
Nice comments from two great photographers! It’s more than I can take! (T____T) Many thanks!

Hello Uno
I’ve chanced upon your lovely site from Yapi and i’ve been lurking ever since. I thought it was time I dropped a note and said Hi. ^^
And to joey…i love the pictures you take!!

Great Photoshopping. Where are the photos of that stubborn-charismatic Uno, and my sweet, sweet Manx, loving each other?
Fighting games are good, survival-horror though…excellence, try the “Silent Hill” series. (If time permits)

Games can be dangerous. They have the ability to eat you up! In one fell swopp I somehow lost all my six memory cards and I suffered from severe withdrawal. Now I’m wanting to get World of Warcraft, but I have to wait until after graduation, or else there will BE no graduation!
Anyway, that’s some nice Photoshopping
There have been waaaay too many pictures making cheap use of filters. It’s nice to see someone do it rather elegantly ^^
February 20th, 2005 - 14:14
Judy, is it? (^^) Welcome! And thank you for your kind comments!
February 20th, 2005 - 14:15
Manx’s Secret Admirer: Silent Hill? Resident Evil? Alone in the Dark? Forbidden? Done all that.
February 20th, 2005 - 14:18
Yapi: Nyahaha, amazing what you can do with 4 hours of boring meeting! (^^) Thank you!
I hope Yapi is less heartachy today. *pats Yapi*

Hmm. I was somewhat hesitant to comment here, being a lowly lurking pinky rather than a bjd, but I have to say the first and second photos are absolutely lovely. Especially the second.
February 21st, 2005 - 22:43
Hey Lethe! Glad you dropped a note! Thanks! And we love ‘em Pinkys, too! Look!

Don’t worry about my achey breaky heart, Joey. That’s why we have retail therapy. And you’re going through my retail therapy with me!!!

He shall be an FCS F-16 boy, Joey. But I’m still irked with the headmold a bit. I’m a big fan of Lucas’ super pointy nose.
February 22nd, 2005 - 13:25
Sara: Aw, thank you. The Canon Rebel is my friend.
February 22nd, 2005 - 13:27
Yapi: Yeah, you go, Yapi. If we keep this up, you might end up buying a new doll! (^^)
February 22nd, 2005 - 13:30
Lilaea: You rock my world, luv. I’ll see you backstage?
February 22nd, 2005 - 13:31
Asano: I LOVE THE F-16! I would’ve adopted one if Veritas didn’t leave my bank account clean! (T__T)
February 22nd, 2005 - 14:33
All of them huh? How about Clock Tower, Castlevania, Fatal Frame, Shadow Hearts, Uno and Manx loving each other… You’re no fun, Uno!
February 22nd, 2005 - 14:56
Yeah, all that and Galerians, Parasite Eve, Siren, Vampire Hunter D and The Ring. And there just might be pictures of Uno loving Manx if you tell me who you are.
February 22nd, 2005 - 16:01
Uno, you look so cool there! Although you never looked uncool anyways, even with that blonde wig and ladies’ hosiery. Oh my, never knew that you have such a hobby.
Joey, great job on these pictures! Did you use PS?
February 22nd, 2005 - 19:49
(=___=) It can’t be considered a hobby if I just did it once, right? And I was only being kind to Joey!
And yeah, she PSed the pics because the lighting was bad and she was trying to hide it with spiffy filters. Glad you like ‘em!

The first video game console my family ever had was this crazy Sears thingamajig that had fake-Pong, basketball, and tennis on it and apparently cost like $300, or to say the cost of a PS2 when it first came out (provided you didn’t buy it from a scalper). Then we had an Atari 7800. After that, I played no video games, having determined that I sucked at games due to lack of depth perception (I’m blind in my left eye). Then I had to start dating a guy whose main occupation in life before having a girlfriend was video games. Then he had me addicted to Animal Crossing for a couple of months. Then we both lost interest. Then he had to get Metal Gear Solid 3 this past Christmas. Then I had to totally identify with Snake near the end of the game (I’m not tellin’ how in case anyone cares and/or doesn’t know what I’m talking about). Then I had to find out how much fun it was to ignore the rules about it being a “sneaking mission” and just started punching the crap out of guards. Yes. It is also fun to shoot guards in the ass with tranquilizers. Yaaaay!
February 23rd, 2005 - 11:53
Oh, and it’s fun to point a gun at a guard’s crotch until he trembles in fear and drops his dog tag! Did you get all the dog tags?
September 16th, 2005 - 01:34
This makes me speechless
Very well done! phentermine ( http://phentermine.webpark.pl/ )
