Uno’s Mistula Custom Bass: Cutud

The sacrifices I’ve made for Mistula earned me a Mistula Original Custom Bass. The only one of its kind, because having a name like Uno has its rewards.

I named the bass Cutud, the Philippines’ local Golgotha, where the bloodiest Holy week tradition in the country is held. Every year, the extremely devoted would start the celebration by flogging themselves with stiff bamboo sticks down a dusty path, and would end with them being nailed to wooden crosses, all in the name of faith.

Lumanog’s Mang Dading faithfully constructed Cutud from Joey’s diagrams. It is made for heavy metal, meant to be played low while standing. Of solid wood and chrome hardware, with the Mistula Cross on its headstock, Cutud is a burden worth falling a third time for.

It is a blessed life.

I heard about that, where locals nail themselves to crosses like jeasus. What devotion… and I consider it a sacrifice to go to church on sundays… *_*
Pip: *snort* You go to church? HA!
Moon: Stuff it pipsqueak…

Judy: Uno is wearing a Catholic priest’s soutane, without the outer vestments. (^^)

Moon: Don’t worry, Moon. Joey, erstwhile Catholic schoolgirl, now only goes to church to shoot pictures. (=_=)
Yapi: I read the Psalm to bass beats, Yapi. It helps keep the churchgoers awake.
