Interesting Prom Trivia
The ManikaManila Promenade will not be complete without our embarassing moments. Here is how many times we fell during the photo sessions:
Manx: 0 (An amazing feat for the wobbly Minuet!)
Uno: 1
Veritas: 4
Shuri: 4
Ceras: 4
Himiko: 999
Veritas, Shuri and Ceras garnered the same scores because every time Himiko fell, they all went down with her, domino-like.
Himiko is saved by Shinji’s video game-honed reflexes.
Bernadette had to go to the restroom to change Shuri’s clothes, because she said it’s too embarrassing for him to strip in public. Ceras and Manx found this rather unsettling.
Yapi, a.k.a. Weirdo Wonder Anime Chick, gallantly saved us from big bad dogs. Dogs, beware of Yapi.
At one point, a group of young people gawked at our strange little club. One of them snickered, “They must be practicing witchcraft!”, unaware that Joey is standing right behind them. Sleep-deprived and ill-humored, Joey hollered, “HEY, THIS GUY WANTS TO KNOW IF YOU’RE PRACTISING WITCHCRAFT!”
