Joeyday Not A Non-Working Holiday

Joey has just declared her birthday a working holiday. Half of it (from 12AM to 5PM) was already spent in the office beating a project deadline (advertising has no respect for Fridays, among other things). After a few hours of sleep, she’s now up beating all odds to make the Mistula update up-to-date.
Sometimes I wish it were as easy to acquire another Joey at Yahoo! Japan Auctions. With the kind of life she leads, she desperately needs a double, or a triple even. But I guess she’s one-of-a-kind and now a little obsolete, so we’ll just have to be careful not to break the only one we have.
Joey Shuts Down, pencil sketches by Fabo, true artiste. Fabo impulsively draws anyone who wanders into his two-meter radius, and Joey, fortunately, is stationed right behind him at work. She kept all of his sketches, hoping to sell them at a higher price when he’s dead.
The little figure on Joey’s ID card is me. Yes, her office allowed her to put my picture on her official ID card.
Translated: Miss David’s Dark Secret Plan, another one by Fabo, drawn after Joey gathered them to discuss her plans of corporate mutiny (she was eventually prevented from realizing it by a deluge of job orders). Of course you know who the tiny figure on her right is. My thought balloon, translated, reads, “Anywhere but Cavite!”, in reference to the many emails we received from rock fans requesting for Mistula to play live in Cavite, a suburb famous for its hell-breaks-loose-and-leaves-you-broken live gigs.
And here, Joey is with Marco, another officemate and creator of the local manga, Angel Ace. Fabo caught them in one of their more unforgettable, controversial conversations.
Joey’s favorite lilies from Rey, sent a week ago to cheer her out of a malady. Rey, like his most-favored Mistula member, Lugosi, is currently not in the country.
