Things That I Wish Would Just Go Away

1. Glitchy Internet Connectivity (courtesy of PLDT)
You may have noticed that the Mistula sites (Mistula, Revelations and Fully Articulated) will at times not load. This is not your computer’s fault. Blame it all on PLDT, the Philippine Internet backbone, which is causing the Internet to hiccup in this part of the world. Even Joey has repeatedly been banned from our own servers, much to her frustration. Our tech person, Bob Reyes, who has been patiently putting up with Joey’s constant ranting, is doing everything he can to fix the problem and stop Joey from ranting further. Here is Bob’s temporary fix.

2. Comments in SMSlang
All comments in SMSlang, a Filipino form of gobbledygook made up of consonants and numbers for use on mobile phones and jolog tagboards, will now be screened. SMSlang is undecipherable to our non-Filipino friends and gives Joey migraine. Always remember: Good grammar promotes good health.

3. Internet Thieves and Piracy
We noticed that many of the Friendster sites we previously posted here and here persist to ignore our noble El’s messages and use our photos without linking back. Are these people waiting for me to put on a bloody face-up, wield a knife and murder them in their sleep? Also, Oracle and his friends have reported seeing pirated Mistula CDs in places like Novamall. Please do not pay for something you can download for free. If you insist on wasting your money, we will gladly accept cash or Paypal payment. Heh.

4. Questions like: “Where can I buy Mistula’s album?”
Mistula does not have an album out yet. All you need to know about Mistula is right here. Our site may not be idiot-proof, but the brain needs exercise, too. The band is set to release new, original material this year, and trust that it won’t come in a cheap pirated CD because if there’s one thing I can say about our kind: We don’t come cheap.

5. “Do you sell dolls?”
Manx may look like a prostitute, but she is not for sale. Thank you and goodbye.

  1. I agree with the SMSlang thing. To quote a friend: “Your keyboard is not a mobile phone.”

  2. I know it’s sad, but I’m kind of amused. Your sense of humour never dies, does it.

  3. Haha… I’m guilty of the SMSlang thing but only on text messages… ^^; Hehe… I haven’t seen the pirated stuff yet (but that’s maybe because I’m usually oblivious to my surroundings… @_@;;)

    • We were told that the pirated CDs are found in the QC area – which may not be your haunting ground, Bernadette. Also, don’t worry, we have not seen you leave us SMSlang messages. :)

  4. y’know that saying, “cleanliness is next to godliness”..?

i want to apply that to grammar on the internet! chatspeak and smslang makes me want to puke. it also makes me go cross-eyed. xD

  5. *I just recently became a fan of mistula, nice to meet everyone! ^_^*
So that’s why i couldn’t find your album…there is no album here in the philippines…O_o

  6. we are always here to help you guys!!! ;)

  7. “Manx may look like a prostitute, but she is not for sale. Thank you and goodbye.”

    ::bwah-ha-ha:: That was awesome!

AND what is even MORE awesome…I can FINALLY see your site again on this computer. I couldn’t on the other. YEAY!
