A Bedtime Story for Veritas

eL’s house, Quezon City

Veritas? Does the kimono fit?
It does, eL, thank you.

Are you alright?
And another win!

Yeah, Rey brought home two trophies from last night’s KBP Radio Advertising Awards! Oh well, there wasn’t any prize money. It’s the same ol’ fame and glory. Just what’s the big deal about those two? Heck, I’d only want fame and glory if I can do a threesome with them! Hey, do you think we can sell his trophies on eBay?
Hur-Rey! Even Mistula roadies are winning awards! Congratulations, Rey! The crew is mighty proud of you!
(By the way, we figured only Joey will want to bid on your trophies so we decided to keep them. They make nice book-ends.)
Winners and Losers

WE WON! WE WON!

We were THIS CLOSE – this close to an all-expense-paid vacation in Tenerife!

I can’t believe it.
Mistula wins 4th place in Overplay competition!
Another unprecedented feat from the first and only band of its kind in the world!
Amidst tough competition from a diverse set of artists from all over Europe, our very own Mistula finishes 4th place in Overplay’s Play & Rate Competition!

The only song in the Filipino languange to win a place in the finals; the only Filipino act in the charts (Mistula songs are consistently in the Rock Charts and at various instances even peaked at number 1); the only Filipino band among the finalists and winners; and most amazingly, the only group to feature members made of resin – Mistula continues to push the boundaries of conventions, something that the band has constantly been trying to achieve ever since their genesis.
Here is what our drummer and control freak Lugosi has to say.
My True eL

eL, the Mistula virtual bouncer, real and as fragile as a bouncer can be. I went out on a date with her a few days ago, and though there were so many things I wanted to tell her (like, “Do you sleep on your stomach? No? Can I?”), I wasn’t able to talk much. In fact, I wasn’t able to talk at all.
Sigh. I have always been shy around real girls.
eL owns Figures of Worship, the official Mistula fanlisting. She also owns a one-off Shiro who was oblivious to all the dagger looks I was throwing his way. What nerve!
