MISTULA ON FDQ!
This October, Mistula appears for the very first time in a doll magazine. Bewildered friends in rock n’ roll asked, “What the hell is a Filipino rock band doing in a doll magazine?” Coty’s fellow rockers must be as bewildered seeing him carrying a copy of Fashion Doll Quarterly. He must’ve been asked, “What the hell are you doing with a doll magazine? Don’t tell me you’re –
“
I remember, not long ago, creative director and rock guitar guru Edsel Tolentino, exclaiming after Rey showed him a Mistula pin-up on Rock Nation magazine, “What the hell are these dolls doing in a rock magazine?”
And then there’s Joey’s Mom: “What is Uno doing on TV?” (No expletives as she is a very proper lady.)
Who knows where Mistula will turn up next?
“Just promise me you won’t appear in Top of the Pops.” From the big British boss of Leo Burnett Manila, Richard Irvine, after he heard that Mistula is on Overplay.
Sorry, Sir Richard, we can’t promise you that.
Many thanks to the interviewer, Mercy Neumark, and the editor-in-chief of FDQ, Pat Henry, for giving full support to the band.
FDQ is circulated in the USA and is now available at Barnes & Noble, Walden Books, Border’s, Tower Records & Books, Michael’s, Joanne’s Fabrics and more. You may also get your copy online.
The Party Pooper

All you had to say was, “Hi, I’m Lobo and Dragan thinks I’m a good guitarist,” then prove it by playing Baptized. But no, you had to barge into their house like a common thief and make a royal mess! Dragan will go spare.

You traveled all the way from the UK to scold me?

No, I traveled all the way from the UK to attend Rey’s birthday party. Since I’m here, I might as well remind you why you’re here.
