Darak!
This is Derrick, ex-drummer of the underground metal kings Dahong Palay and self-proclaimed leader of Y&R’s Darak, one of the five bands to make it to the grand finals of the 1st Unitel Band Congress.
“Darak” is the Filipino word for rice bran, the common food of pigs. Joey named the band thus because Derrick is meaty. She also suggested that he get a tattoo on his belly of the word “MAYHAM” (Filipino for “with ham”, can also be mistaken for MAYHEM) but Derrick snorted at the idea.
That is Jay, Darak’s guitarist, the man responsible for the dorkiest band shirts I’ve ever laid my glass eyes on. Remember: Dull blue is best when you’re holding a broom, not an electric guitar.
Hazel and 3sh, forget Darak and be my groupies. Hot girls like you deserve cool black Mistula shirts.

and is that a centipede ring he’s wearing??? correct me if i’m wrong, yung font na ginamit sa Darak ay galing sa font na ginamit ng Iron Maiden?sana parang moss green nalang yung kulay ng shirt *biased*
and ooh! rock bands aren’t complete without groupies.

Yes, that’s the Iron Maiden font. Darak is supposed to be a parody rock band. Derrick’s screen name is Gutommy Lee.
Dull blue is apparently Y&R’s official color. But it doesn’t mean it has to be the band’s official color, too – or so I think. One of these days, I’m going to speak up, I swear.
