One good reason to watch TV this Sunday.
Manikako will be featured on GMA 7′s Mel and Joey this Sunday at 8PM! Yesiree, some dolls are made for stardom.
The Manikako team at the most recent art workshop in Cambridge, Cubao. They are not as telegenic as the dolls.

i saw it! XD or i think a part of it…it was so short??? and i think they’ve mispronnounced Ms. Hannah’s surname..
anyway the kids look happy with their dolls and are really enjoying making some! congratulations to everybody involved for a very successful project!! XD

I called my mother when the Manikako segment was finally on. Now she believes that I am part of a worthwhile organization and not just some distracting hobby club. Although she seems to be wresting with the idea of creativity being therapeutic. ^^;;

Manikako is a form of Art Therapy, which is the primary tool of psychologists in the treatment of trauma. It is an accepted and recognized technique. I wonder why your mother thinks of it as peculiar.

Could it be that she confuses the cause with ManikaManila and BJDs, which she deems a waste of your money and time? As much as I understand where she’s coming from, I hope you’re able to change her mind soon.

During the show’s teaser I seemed to glimpsed Miss Joey along with Uno and Lobo (different scene frames). Imagine my surprise when the segment opened up with Uno, then Lugosi and Lobo. It was a good segment to increase the awareness of the public for the Manikako Project.
Ah, so the girl with the orange blouse was Professor Datuin. 1 more girl and I will know the whole group on the 2nd photo via their names. (oh my… I sound like a stalker… uguu~)

The Mel and Joey crew did come to interview me about Manikako but upon seeing the BJDs, their interest was riveted to Mistula. They later informed me that they’re going to make a separate segment about the virtual doll band for one of their future episodes. I had thought they will include it in this episode but there seemed to have been a change of plans. I’ll keep you posted.
Hmm, Wiji is the only girl on the picture that was not at the Toycon booth. So there you go, Jayjay.

The crew did come to interview me about Manikako but decided to make a full-blown segment about Mistula instead. The footages you saw where from the Mistula interview. Apparently, the producer decided to include it in another episode at the last minute. As to when it will air, I have yet to know.

Goodness, you would’ve missed them if you blinked. I was wondering why they had to include those footages when they were shot for an entirely different purpose. How baffling.
Lugosi and the rest of the guys were shown in another GMA program called Lovely Day. I will try to upload the segment one of these days.

AH! I saw that one. That’s where I first saw Mistula.
