Mistula’s Lovely Day Out (Part 3)
Joey and Yapi decided more fun will be had if more unsuspecting people were dragged into the spotlight. So they invited the GMA 7 crew to film ManikaManila‘s affair in Tagaytay, Mini Me February.
Lovely Day host Love Anover with ManikaManila’s Numero Uno.
Mini Me February was held in Bag o’ Beans, a cozy garden restaurant tucked away in Tagaytay. ManikaManila purposely took this doll meet far from the city to avoid the crowds, but they soon realized there’s no escaping the media.
All the ManikaManila members had to introduce themselves and their dolls in front of the camera. We called this “hazing”.
Thankfully, this was edited out of the show, much to Dino’s relief.
Every ManikaManila meet has a theme. This one required owners to dress their dolls as their Mini Me’s. This, of course, was Yapi’s idea.
Krishna, Yapi and Bernadette with their Mini Me’s Keran, Ceras and Shuri.
Rey, Lobo and Skye dressed alike to form the Small, Big and Big-Big trio.
Joey and Veritas both wore school uniforms.
Lilith’s Mini Me, Verchiel, slept though the entire event, as usual.
Every ManikaManila meet must have food, and this time, it was the Bag o’ Bean’s famous English pies. We also got cinnamon rolls and iced tea on the house for giving the restaurant free TV promotion. Yum!
While the three ManikaManila boys, Dino, Rey and Rio, refused to do a dance number for stardom, there was never a lack of things to laugh about. Joey and Yapi were right; the spotlight is always best shared.

Ah. I seem to remember that place. The central room is a mosquito net covered windows with a sofa set on one side and they serve hot bread loaves. Veritas looks lovely with black hair. Hope she sticks with it.
PS: while browsing some forum for BJD choosing, I must say the manikamanila mini-me’s (or dolls) are the great looking ones.
