Hail to the Disciples!

Mistula is proud to have brilliant friends. They make miracles – like Baptized, the band’s latest video – possible.
Mistula: Baptized Again
Crossposted on Mistula: Revelations.

“One of our closest artist collaborators once said Mistula song poems always inspire visions in his head. Whenever he listens to the tracks, he closes his eyes, and instantly he sees images dancing and playing like a film reel being constantly cut, spliced, edited, played back, forward and reverse, slowed down and sped up. And everytime, it was different for him. Some images do appear more frequently than others, but the overall “experience”, as he puts it, varies everytime. That’s why when we do videos for our tracks, I’m actually the first one who gets averse to labelling them as “music videos”. Number one, because of the obvious abuse the term has been getting from so-called “music artists” who just have to put out a video just because they have a new single out. And number two – which is far more important and in tune to our close friend’s point – comes from the realization that you can never have just one vision for these tracks. We treat our videos as just one “treatment”; one vision based on the director’s unique point of view of the poem song.”
So says Mistula band leader and chief song writer, Lugosi, on Mistula’s newest video release.
