Birthday Wishes
Zak went from table to table lecturing our guests about Mistula. He is eight years old and wore a Mr. Yum party hat, but his confidence was indubitable as he told an unsuspecting partygoer: Did you know that Mistula appeared on the cover of Manila Bulletin? And Uno’s name is in the encyclopedia!
I doubt if Zak learned all of this information from his father Derrick, heavy metal drummer and our long-time friend. Derrick’s preoccupation is with obscure European metal bands who believe they are sons of Odin, and we do not have enough bodily hair to be in that genre. Thank goodness Zak has better taste in music.
On my birthday, Zak wished for me to rock and roll for real. For more not-so-impossible things, watch this video:

That is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen. Happy belated birthday Uno! Thanks for sharing yours (and Joeys!) dancing skills with us. I too wish for you to grow up and move on your own – less work for Joey! ♥

I’m not sure I’d like to wish for a real life Mistula, Jay, honestly. My life is complicated enough as it is.

Oh, it’s not you, it’s me. Or to put it more accurately, it’s the glitch in the comment field. I should update this version of WordPress, but Zak’s wish has yet to be fully realized. So I’ll wait for Joey to find the time to do that for me.
