Starstruck!

We have celebrities in the house. I’m starry-eyed.

Blitz and Lily became stars overnight as the latest film from Manikako and Energizer swept the web. “Gift of Life” even became Pick of the Day on Creativity Online, where the best in advertising, design and digital are featured.

Labor of Love

Posted by Uno

Picture this: the entire Fully Articulated crew gathered under a glittering Christmas tree, all dressed in white, happily exchanging Christmas gifts.

We were not able to shoot that photo. But we shot something much, much better.

It was one of those rare occasions when work did not feel like work. The film was inspired by doll photo stories, except this one took 24 hours to shoot. We almost spent Christmas in the studio.

It was an honor for Mistula to make music for Blitz and Lily, the stars of Gift of Life, the new film from Manikako and Energizer.

Maybe I will be the first BJD to bag an Academy Award. I might as well prepare my thank-you speech now.

In the recent issue of Adobo Magazine (The Word on Advertising), two people are spotted wearing Mistula shirts: Creative Director and DJ James Bernardo, and our very own Rey Tiempo.

The Things We Do For Love

Posted by Uno

I let myself be wrapped in melting plastic and left naked under the klieg lights for four hours with absolute disregard for the FRAGILE label on my box. All for the love of Mistula.

(And Lugosi has the nerve to call me a slacker? That doofus!)

I hope Mike Fallarme, the man behind Mistula’s most elaborate and painful photo shoots, reaps the rewards of my suffering. Please vote for his entry to the JPG magazine photo competion, Ahon.

Ahon (Filipino for “Rise”) was originally shot for the Baptized video. How can I forget that shoot?

Thank you very much! :)
